70th Anniversary Brighton Burn Up

Brighton Burn Up

he long awaited 70th anniversary Brighton Burn Up is now nearly upon us and I am delighted to say that all our planning is coming together to deliver the best ever event for the thousands of riders who will be taking part and joining us in Brighton on September14th.

With a record breaking year in 2007 behind us when we had in excess of 140,000 motorcyclist at the event, it is our intention this year to create something really special as part of the year long celebrations. Nobody will be disappointed!

Already one of the world’s largest free to attend events and certainly the coolest, this time we will have bigger bands on stage, more entertainment more exhibitors, a stunt festival, more clubs, more media – we are not just stretching the envelope, we had to throw the old away and get a new one! Once again we will have most of the major brands at the event, many of whom had attended of the first time last year but immediately recognised the Burn Up is no ordinary bike event.

The Burn Up this year will be televised by the US Speed Channel for broadcast as a documentary feature entitled “Cafe Society” which will be later networked to Europe and the UK – ultimately to be distributed as a DVD. In addition the celebration will include the public unveiling of the hand built Ace Cafe Racer “Little Miss Dynamite” following its tour of the United States competing at the S&S world builders competition and Sturgis. The Ace Cafe globally represent the spirit of motorcycling, the passion and pleasure of the road ahead and a full tank of fuel - the Brighton Burn Up is when it all comes together. Once again the official charity of the event will be Jeans for Genes which last year raised a very significant sum via sponsored rides and other activities.
